I had been contemplating for some time now whether I should change my blogging platform for my photography blog.  Every time I started thinking I would go ahead and make the change, I wimped out thinking it would be way too time consuming to make the change.  I finally buckled down and made the change.  I am digging the cleaner look.

New Place...New Face...hahahaha| Utah Photography

So my husband Rob tells me the other day I'm taking too many pictures of the kids . . . so I said great, then let me take pictures of you, hahaha. He laughed and said no ways . . but after some haggling he agreed to do it as a date, since he hasn't taken me on a date in forever. So I picked out his outfit and we went off in search of a new place to shoot at. We've driven past this place in AF a ton of times, but have never stopped to check it out. I'm glad I did cause I found some unexpected cool spots. Definitely gonna use this spot for a future family/engagement shoot, bes believe dat! Despite Rob complaining about the cold, poses I wanted him to do, and his inability to keep a straight face and not crack up, I think we got some good shots. I had to fight him on posting these, so leave a comment and holla back to let Rob know taking pictures for your wife doesn't mean you're a pozer, hahaha.

We had a great night getting together with a few ladies from the neighborhood...  We talked about how we can learn to master some settings on our cameras and be more confident momtogs!  I took some snap shots of these hot mamas at the end of the night.  Thank you ladies for letting me ramble on and on....:)

Kids will be Kids | Utah Child Photography

Everyone loves a candid moment, right?  The moments where you see your kids just loving each other...holding hands without being told to, telling each other secrets, those genuine laugh out loud laughs, those goofy moments...we all love them.

I came across this photo of my girls that I shot awhile back and it just made me laugh.  At the time I know I was getting super frustrated because the girls refused to look at th camera at the same time.  It was such a mess.  If I've learned anything in photography, it's usually the in between moments that get the best results.  What I mean by "in-between" is the moment between shots.  That's why I always set my camera to shoot multiple shots at once.  It's been a lifesaver on many occasions.  If you have that option on your camera, I'd totally recommend it.  You'll be surprised at how many awesome shots turn out.

Now going back to this image...it's not something I'd frame or enlarge, but I know we'll be laughing at this picture in years to come.  Gotta love it.

JoJo | Utah Child Photographer

I found this awesome blanket at IKEA and just thought it had the perfect texture.  Tried it out with my JoJo..she had a blast.  Lately I'm starting to think she digs the camera.  She is always asking me to take her pictures.  The funny thing is, she'll let me take her pictures for like 5 minutes, then she tells me, "Okay, I'm done Mommy.  Thank you.  Bye."  Cracks me up.

I am selling my Canon 5D camera body with 2 batteries and a charger to anyone interested.  I have loved using the 5D and have actually held on to it even since I've upgraded thinking it would be best to use it as a back-up but I've finally decided to go ahead and sell it.  I really really love my 5D but decided it was best due to $$ to let it go to a new happy home.:)  If anyone is interested, please e-mail or call me.  You really can't go wrong with this camera, especially if you are wanting to take your photography to the next level.
