Sitting at my computer

The reason I got into photography in the first place is out of the love I have for taking pictures of my girls. Since it is cold out, and not much going on in the James household...I took some time with some pics I took earlier of Kailee. She was testing the lighting in our house for me. Looking at these pictures reminds me how much she loves to "pose" for the camera. I have to start doing my photo sneak attacks to get anything natural anymore--in this case...it was pure POSING. But I tried making her laugh and finally got something out of her in the third pic....

Did I Mention....

that I had the cutest girls in the world...I know, I'm a biased party here, but you gotta agree with me, right????

Gardner Girlies

I just have to say...we worked it. We worked this shoot right inside my house, in the dining room. Yep...that's what we did...and I am LOVING the outcome! I have posted a few of the pics, but there are a bunch more that I am loving. Kandice...you're gonna have a hard time choosing your favorites because I definitely am having trouble picking my favs! Your girls are ADORABLE!!!!

I am LOVING this one of Emily...wait...how many time have I said that?

Irons Family

You may notice a few people in the family picture as I did a session for the Stevenson's awhile back. This time around, she brought along the whole gang...and it turns out to be one of the coldest days we've had!!!! Poor little Zoe was freezing her little buns off and turning purple! We tried to wrap things up quickly since it was so stinkin' cold, and managed to get a few great shots of the fams! Thanks Teresa for asking me to do your family pictures! It was a blast!

Can you believe she's only in the 9th grade? I thought she was a senior....watch out mom!

Gardner Family

Normally I'd like to stay away from shooting at the same location over and over, but it's been so crazy with the holidays and everything and most people want to shoot their session close to home, so here's another session at the amphitheather.

We love this family--they are our neighbors and the girls love to play with them. Their shoot was set on the day that we had the "snow storm" so it was crazy cold, and we only got a few shots in before we froze to death. Needless to say we will need to reschedule another time to take pictures of the girls--but we did manage to get a couple of family photos in before the snow started coming down.

A girl and her bike....

She loves anything that is on wheels or roars like a dinosaur. Her favorite toy aisles are the ones with all of the "boys" toys. I love that she is her own person. She likes what she likes, plain and simple. No makeup or jewelry for this girl! I love it....

I like it a lot....

Was it Ace Ventura that said it? I just remember I used to say that phrase a lot, trying to mimick Jim Carey. I think it was Ace Ventura. Anyway, that was what I was thinking while I was editing this photo. It seems I am taking forever with Nicole and Tyler's pictures. Maybe I'm having too much fun with them. :)

Anglesey Gang

I don't think I have ever seen the American Fork Amphitheater so packed with photographers and families. I mean every spot was taken. Families were scattered everywhere. And not just small families, but the whole extended family groups. We were among the zillion families there, and we managed to maneuver around other groups and get our picture on!

I took the Hammonds family pictures awhile back and she asked me to take her family pictures since everyone was coming from out of state to visit. I'm so glad she asked me to take their pictures...they are a wonderful family! The funny thing is that as soon as I got home and loaded the pics on my computer, my husband instantly recognized Adam (the guy in the maroon shirt) and told me that he thought it looked just like our friend Dave Evan's brother. Come to find out...he was Dave's brother!!! Small world eh?

Well...I'm gonna check out for now--enjoy the pics and I'll be back!

Boyce Family

Here is my awesome & beautiful cousin's family--The Boyces. My girls adore their girls! If they had a choice, they'd probably move in with them and eat my cousin's yummy cooking all day. It's always a blast taking the Boyce girls' pictures because they are so easy to work with! I especially love all of the individual shots of the girls. My nieces are all so BEAUTIFUL! Watch out mom and dad...that could be some trouble for you in the future!!! :)

Scarves

This is the one accessory that we LOVE to wear in the winter. Kailee picked out this color scarf at the Gap. I love the bold bright stripes!
